Dudhshree Milk Producer Company Limited (DMPCL), Hooghly was incorporated in 12th march,2023 owned by fully women dairy farmers. It aims to provide sustainable livelihood and promoting income generation through dairying to the 33000 women milk producers round the year in 600 villages of 5 districts named Hooghly, East Medinipur, West Medinipur, Nadia and North 24 Pargana in West Bengal which includes set up of 600 Milk Pooling points (MPPs) and 12 Bulk Milk Coolers (BMCs).
The project started with the financial assistance from Anandadhara, West Bengal State Rural Livelihood Mission (WBSRLM) and technically supported by NDDB Dairy Services. The company started its business operations from February 2024 leads to optimizing milk production, cost cutting approach & competitive pricing, essential services like feed management, health management & house management. As well as Women & Producer Awareness Program, Clean Milk Production will play key role in the journey of their sustainability.
Who We Are?
Currently the company is running 4 BMCs in Hooghly & West Medinipur districts with 130 MPPs. It has enrolled 6500 women shareholders producing milk of 20000 litre per day on an average. The project would be implemented in 5 districts through set up of 12 BMCs by March,2025.
